**Overview**:
Coastal Peoples has an exciting opportunity for a Gallery Associate to join our vibrant Art Gallery in downtown Vancouver.

You will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support. The role will involve inventory record management and various tasks that are crucial to key the daily functioning of the gallery.

Our Gallery can give you the opportunity to experience Indigenous culture in an arts environment. Since 1996, Coastal Peoples Gallery has presented a world class First Nations and Inuit collection, and has brought visitors and collectors together to experience their art and culture in a historic Gastown location.

We’re seeking a self-motivated, super organized and positive team player with an eye for detail who possesses strong tech skills.

This is a part-time position for weekends only.

**Responsibilities**:
Working within a team environment, you would perform key tasks to assist in the performance of the gallery, including:
Gallery operations and reception duties

Assist with web site inventory and CRM database management

Gallery maintenance and cleanliness

Assist clients at the gallery as required

**Qualifications**:
Requires a mature, dependable individual to contribute enthusiastically and take on key gallery responsibilities within an intimate team environment

Self-motivated, efficient multi-tasker capable of working independently and as a part of an integrated team

Some sales experience required

An interest or specific knowledge in Canadian Indigenous culture is preferred

Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate in English

Ability to handle delicate artwork in a professional manner

Experience in maintaining a website or client database is an asset

Part-time weekends only
