**Purpose**

**What will you do in this role?**
- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Leads the coordination and administration of the Work Permit review process and Preemployment Screening process by:

- Being the key point of contact for inquiries and escalations
- Maintaining an expert knowledge and understanding of Work Permit and Preemployment screening activities, processes and procedures
- Performing review of cases to ensure team adheres to the SLAs
- Delivering highest quality of service to internal stakeholders
- Provides guidance to Workforce Security Screening Consultants in the review of Work Permit documentation and the adjudication of background check files.
- Partners with stakeholders to ensure mass hiring projects have appropriate coverage, strategically addresses volumes to ensure seamless onboarding and teamwork across Global HR
- Manages a portfolio of low complexity operational effectiveness projects from start to finish and delivers impactful results; this includes collecting and analyzing process data, identifying root cause, requirements gathering/validation, scoping, developing and implementing solutions, aligning partner expectations, project management and using metrics to measure and assess success and impacts
- Ensures all employment related documents such as work permits, offer letters, employment contracts, reference checks, etc. are completed and received in a timely and accurate manner.
- Monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of the preemployment screening and work permit processes, identifies improvement/enhancement opportunities and provides insights to Senior Manager, Workforce Security Screening.
- Develops and holds self and team accountable to meet objectives aligned to unit’s goals and KPIs, prioritizing workload and re-aligning resources as required in order to optimize results and throughput.
- Work with Senior Analyst, Workforce Secuirty Screening to create reports to capture volumes and trends to effectively plan allocation of resources
- Builds reports in response to audit requirements, SLAs and data quality.
- Supports the design and implementationation of the new work permit adjudication process and team
- Supports the design and implementation of training programs
- Collaborates with key stakeholders for escalations (legal, ER, Privacy, Global Mobility, HRBP, Talent Acquisition etc)
- Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations within his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct
- Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
- Effectively manage and develop human resources by:

- Ensuring that expectations which include accountabilities, objectives, goals are effectively communicated and monitored for all direct reports that have a process in place for their respective areas
- Participate in or lead in team meetings, personal coaching sessions and performance status updates

**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed?**
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Business or related field
- CHRP designation is considered an asset
- Previous recruitment administration experience preferred
- Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
- Strong knowledge of Organizational structure and complexity
- Strong understanding of end-to-end Recruitment processes and programs
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance guidelines, compliance and reporting requirements related to Work Permits and Preemployment Screening
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple initiatives
- Effective coaching skills to foster development of others and continuous encouragement to team to accept new tasks and challenges
- Experience with transaction processing and data management
- Experience in conflict / issue resolution
