We are currently seeking a Loss Prevention Investigator who can be nice, will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.
The Loss Prevention Investigator is a key member of our Loss Prevention team, reporting to the Director, Loss Prevention.
The Loss Prevention Investigator for Roots will be responsible for the following:
- Conduct surveillance when required in addition to LP audits and checks
- Detection of customers engaged in theft and fraudulent activities
- Serve as a liaison to law enforcement agencies conducting investigations that affects Roots
- Attend court hearings and testify when required
- Proactively monitor/follow up on exception-based reporting system to minimize stock shortage, identify potential loss and internal integrity issues
- Investigate suspected internal integrity issues in stores and at the Distribution Centre
- Monitor cash overs/shorts within assigned area and respond to alarm calls at Head office
- Follow-up through site visits and district conference calls to ensure compliance of company policies and procedures
- Conduct Loss Prevention awareness/safety seminars
- Communicate and interact effectively with different levels of management within the organization through verbal and written communication
- Maintain open lines of communication and support store partnership through store visits and staff meetings
- 3-5 Years of Loss Prevention experience
- Must be flexible - must be willing to work evenings and weekends when required
- Travel up to 60% of the time to conduct stores visits within assigned area
- Must have a valid Loss Prevention/security license
- Excellent written/oral communication skills as well as interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to demonstrate skills in investigation (including interviewing, evidence gathering, etc..), shrink reduction techniques, and other Loss Prevention skills.
