**Position Summary**:
At Brightwater Senior Living, we believe that a well-maintained environment promotes health, safety, comfort, and a true sense of well-being for our residents, visitors, and staff. We are seeking a dedicated **Maintenance Technician** to work alongside our Maintenance Manager, ensuring the highest standards of maintenance throughout our community - including the building exterior, interior, common areas, suites, and grounds.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ verifiable maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
- Proficient in the safe handling and operation of construction, maintenance, and landscaping tools (e.g., circular saw, power drill, bench grinder, paint sprayer, carpet cleaner, chain saw).
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to maintain certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain resident, employee, and community information with strict confidentiality.
- Complete maintenance and annual service tasks for community buildings, interiors, exteriors, and equipment.
- Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, landscaping, carpentry, and painting.
- Conduct daily inspections of the property to address maintenance concerns promptly.
- Assist residents with maintenance requests (e.g., moving furniture, hanging pictures).
- Support housekeeping with deep-cleaning projects for common areas as scheduled.
- Safely store, inspect, and maintain maintenance equipment.
- Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
- Respond appropriately to community emergencies and participate in disaster response procedures.

**Other Duties**:

- Uphold all community policies, procedures, and dress code requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and promote resident advocacy.
- Represent Brightwater Senior Living with professionalism in the broader community.
- Attend required training and continuing education sessions.
- Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to perform duties under time constraints and deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
