**Who We Are**:
Earth to Table Farm is an organic vegetable and fruit farm specializing in wholesale produce for Pearle Hospitality restaurants. On our four-acre production in Millgrove, Ontario we grow high quality vegetables (including salad greens, tomatoes, roots, edible flowers, and herbs) along with apples, some stone fruit, berries, and hay.

We’re committed to regenerative farming; transitioning towards mínimal tillage, building soil organic matter, and growing on deep compost covered raised beds.

The farm is a fast-paced environment and an excellent place to learn and share skills with enthusiastic and knowledgeable team members. Our team is full of caring, dedicated employees, and we look forward to welcoming a new field manager to join in our regenerative agriculture mission.

**Farmer Responsibilities**:
You will assist in all aspects of the market garden operation, including planting, weeding, harvesting, washing, and packaging vegetables. You will also assist in pest control, irrigation, greenhouse work, and tractor work if appropriate.

Once trained, you will be responsible for checking field and product inventory, communicating daily harvest plans, supervising produce washing, processing, packaging, and keeping the cooler cleaned and organized for our delivery team.

Quick hands, strong observation skills, and the ability to manage your time, to start and complete tasks, in given time periods is required.

You will be an integral player of our small, hard-working team, and a commitment to the full season is essential.

**Relevant Experience & Mindset**:

- At least one full season working on a vegetable farm
- Experience growing and harvesting vegetables
- Ability to do hard physical labour
- Demonstrated interest in commercial-scale vegetable production.
- Passionate about regenerative farming, good food, and being stewards to the land
- Organized with strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Able to follow instructions and complete jobs in a timely manner
- Strive to improve work efficiency performance
- Hold self-accountable for achieving results
- Hardworking, dependable and reliable
- Fluent in English

**Working Conditions**:

- Role will be an on-site in a farm environment - This may expose the employee to extreme weather conditions, dust, dampness, moving machinery, and cleaning agents.
- This is a highly physical and mentally demanding role. Physical requirements of the role may include standing, sitting, kneeling, bending, squatting, and walking for long hours outdoors in all weather.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Full-time position with typical hours of Monday-Friday, 8 am - 4 pm. Due to the nature of the farming and the growing season, the employee may be required to work longer hours and varying schedule to reflect and fulfill the business needs. This may include overtime, weekends, and holidays.
