Upper Room Home Furnishings is looking for a committed **Sales Manager** to join our growing team. Our showrooms offer an exciting and rapidly changing selection of merchandise, including custom design furniture, accent furniture, lamps, rugs, and accessories.

As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and coaching of our Sales Associates to effectively execute the Upper Room’s sales approach. You are also responsible for increasing store sales and profitability by achieving mutually agreed-upon targets in key areas and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional customer experience both personally and by your team.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Manage the daily sales operations, sales schedule, and sales training.
- Inspire and motivate the sales team.
- Develop plans to increase sales.
- Ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience.
- Train, and supervise the sales associates.
- Manage the daily activity on the sales floor.

**What we are looking for**:

- 5+ years of proven experience in retail commission sales management (furniture/appliance/automotive retail is an asset).
- Passionate and knowledgeable about sales experience.
- Proficient with computers and tech-savvy (furniture software knowledge is an asset).
- The ability to close sales and assist customers in their decision.
- Must be available to work on the weekends and evenings (Hours of operation**:M-F 11-7**, **Sat 10-6** & **Sun 11-5**).

Salary range in between **$65k-$90k** this includes base yearly salary plus commissions.

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Supplemental pay types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:
