**Lennox and Addington County General Hospital S.E.I.U Local Canada 1 - Service Workers Carpenter - Full-time Vacancy**

**Area of Assignment**: Hospital & Premises

**Basic Function and Scope**:As a member of a multidisciplinary team, the incumbent is responsible for layout, installation, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures, fixtures, and buildings.

**Hours of Work**:Monday to Friday - days (with flexibility to meet the needs of the hospital)

**Pay Rate**: Will be in accordance with the S.E.I.U., Local 1 Canada Service Workers Collective Agreement for Carpenter Classification.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Secondary School Graduation Diploma;
- Ontario Certificate of Qualification for General Carpentry.

**Experience**:

- Experience with construction and/or renovation projects.

**Required Skills**:

- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, courteously and tactfully;
- Analytical and problem solving skills;
- Knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, regulations, policies and procedures installation and maintenance;
- Computer skills including the ability to operate computerized spreadsheet, database and word processing, programs at a proficient level;
- Ability to organize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently;
- Ability to work cooperatively with other trades;
- Must have annual review education completed;
- Must have previous proven good performance and attendance record.
