Jones Transportation is looking for Long Haul Owner Operators based out of Acheson, AB. Join our professional team in hauling deck, Van, Intermodal, safely across Canada mostly in Western Canada, Yukon, and NWT.

The Owner Operator will be responsible for hauling freight in safe, and timely manner between shipper and customer locations.

**To be successful in this role, you will exceptionally complete the following (not an exhaustive list of responsibilities)**:
Follow company policies and procedures in responsible and sustainable manner

Maintain accurate and timely maintenance of e-logs

Properly secure the cargo for transportation

Maintain contact with supervisor to receive instruction or be dispatched for next trip.

Complete all paperwork including BOL, POD and other paperwork as required

**To be qualified for this role please ensure your resume clearly displays all the following**:
Truck must have a sleeper cab, no day cabs and 2015 or newer.

Truck must have pro-rated plate and registered for GVW 63500 Kg.

Jones Transportation will entertain Owner Operator tractor or Power only options.

Minimum of 3 years of verified safe Tractor Trailer driving experience.

Mountain, winter driving, and chain-up experience.

Possess Commercial Class 1 license with air brakes endorsement

Excellent driving skills with a focus on attentive and defensive driving

Must have a safety-first mind set and be self-motivated

Able to communicate in English - both written and verbal

When you Haul Jones Loads, you work with an expansive customer base transporting a variety of interesting loads.

**We Offer**:
Fuel card will be provided (discounted fuel Petro pass and Co-op).

Truck will be decaled as “Leased to Jones Transportation.”

E-log (samsara) will be installed.

Extra pay for over dimensional loads.

Extra pay for tarped loads.
