**About the Office of Sustainability at Humber**:
The Office of Sustainability leads and supports Humber’s commitment to providing national leadership in developing sustainable campuses. Acting as a hub for campus engagement and information, the office fosters a culture of sustainability by leading by example: how Humber operates its buildings, interacts with the physical environment and communities around it, and in the way Humber teaches and learns about sustainability. Understanding that there is no sustainability without equity, the Office of Sustainability works to strengthen the connection between and foster an awareness of the complex connections that exist between social and environmental issues.

**About the Manager, Sustainability Role**:
Under the general direction of the Director, Sustainability, the Manager, Sustainability is responsible for development and implementation of sustainability programs and initiatives in order to support achievement of the institutional strategic priority to become a national leader in campus sustainability. The Manager, Sustainability works with administrators, faculty, students, and external community groups to grow a culture of sustainability across the institution in all aspects of the College functions be it operations, campus life or academics related. The Manager contributes to the development of the College’s Sustainability Plan and shares accountability for its implementation. As a conduit between the Associate Director and the rest of the Office of Sustainability, and a resource to the entire college, the Manager of Sustainability oversees and/or contributes to day-to-day operations and overall direction for the Office of Sustainability, which has the mandate of integrating and promoting sustainability in all aspects of College functions be it operations, campus life or academics related.

Key Duties include, but not limited to:

- Support development and implementation of the institution’s Sustainability Plan to fulfill Humber’s Strategic Plan objectives in campus sustainability excellence and national leadership in campus sustainability;
- Embed sustainability into campus planning, operations and decision making
- Manage response to Federal, Provincial and Municipal government regulations and reporting requirements related to sustainability (e.g. waste reduction and reporting, energy and emissions tracking and reporting, etc.), as well as reporting on STARS and other sustainability measurement tools
- Oversee management of campus sustainability projects, implement and manage the operation of new and current sustainability programs at the College;
- Collaborate with departments and faculties to embed sustainability into campus operations and processes (e.g. purchasing, recruitment, orientation, student success, human rights equity and diversity, college committees, marketing, etc.) to develop and expand institutional sustainability knowledge, behaviour and decision making.
- Manage the development of appropriate tools and resources to support students, staff and faculty embed sustainability into their studies, work and teaching;
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement sustainability programs and initiatives;
- Utilize extensive knowledge of sustainability to advise and collaborate with departments and faculties across the College regarding integration of sustainability practice/initiatives
- Develop, lead and maintain mutually beneficial external partnerships with local businesses, government and not-for-profit organizations to further enhance the sustainability program at the college as demonstrated by partnerships with the World Wildlife Fund, Fairtrade Canada, Metrolinx, etc.;
