Quality Control Specialist/pole Line Qc

Hybrid - Once a wee/ One day a week to office

Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; college degree (preferred)

Must have experience in the Telecommunications Outside plant engineering and/or construction industry.

Experience with Aerial Communications line & poles inspections or design. Using CSA 22.3 No. 1-20 Overhead Systems. and O.Reg. 22/04 guidelines.

Should have good understanding of basic computer concepts and technology. Experience with the following design programs: Quick Pole and SpidaCalc is strongly preferred.

Should have strong understanding of Design and construction of Fiber Optic Cable (UG, Aerial, Buried, BICS) and manhole and conduit design (strongly preferred).

Knowledge of Fiber backbone (F1) and distribution networks (F2), 5G/Smart City high level designs is strongly preferred.

Knowledge of permitting processes (highway, railroad, city, county, etc.) are also highly desired.

Must be able to work and walk for the majority of the work day, in various terrains and weather conditions.

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

- Mississauga, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:

- civil / structural / mechanical engineering: 7 years (required)
- SpidaCal: 5 years (required)
- QuickPole: 4 years (required)
- telecommunications: 5 years (required)
- Fiber backbone (F1): 2 years (required)
- distribution networks (F2): 2 years (required)
- 5G: 4 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Professional Engineering (required)
