- **1 Team Leads on night shift Monday through Friday 10:00pm - 6:30am - additional hourly premium offered**

The **Team Lead** is responsible for overseeing front-line operations and production processes for a designated production line through leading a team.

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**
- Set up the machine including ensuring any calibration is completed.
- **Oversee the daily production activities, ensuring effective communication with team members are maintained.**:

- Direct the tasks during change overs and designate effectively to ensure downtime is minimized.
- Conduct production meetings on the floor with team members to promote employee engagement and optimal performance, including leading daily kick-off meetings.
- Provide ongoing effective leadership and guidance to team.
- Identify issues around continuous improvement and communicate effectively to management.
- Communicate with Production Supervisor on employee performance issues, labour staffing and planning requirements as required.
- Effectively train new hires and ensure all training logs are completed.
- Promote health and safety amongst the team and ensure all employees are complying with H/S policies and procedures.
- Ensure all safety hazards and/or suggestions are immediately brought forward to management.
- Communicate with Quality Control on any related inspections and/or quality issues on the line.
- Ensure all production activities comply with Company specifications.
- Responsible for ensuring quality levels meet Company expectations and that quality is highly promoted to all team members.
- Complete reports and data associated with KPIs and efficiency documentation as required.
- Provide suggestions and recommendations that will increase performance on the line.
- Communicate effectively with team to ensure production activity is performed efficiently and safely.
- Oversee the cleaning and sanitization activities for the line.
- Ensure all production logs and documentation is completed as per Company specifications.
- Ensure current inventory procedures are followed.
- Adhere to GMP and GDP practices.
- Adhere to all Food Safety and QA practices.
- Machine Operator duties.
- All other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Able to lift 35 lbs. on a regular/consistent basis.
- **Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a production environment.**:

- Ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience with production machinery.
- Previous experience using an ERP system strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in Food and beverage industry strongly preferred.
- Able to handle multiple deadlines.
- Friendly and customer focused attitude.
- Good verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Shift schedule: 5x8 Monday to Friday Evenings - Start Time 2:00pm to 10:30pm **or **Nights - Start Time 10:00pm to 6:30am (no rotation)
- Working in cool and/or hot temperatures within the plant.
- Frequent bending, crouching and twisting.
- Constant standing throughout the day.
- Working with green coffee dust and exposure to noise levels above 90 decibels.
