Financial Administrator

Foundry is seeking a detail-oriented, problem-solving **Financial Administrator **to oversee and coordinate Foundry’s financial processes and procedures. You will be part of a dynamic team with staff across the province, reporting to the Manager, Administration and working closely with PHC Finance. This is a great opportunity for someone pursuing a career in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping, who would also enjoy learning more about health systems, youth mental health and wellness, research, and/or community and nonprofit partnerships. As part of your role as the **Financial Administrator**, you will participate in learning and development related to Indigenous Cultural Agility, Safety and Humility (CASH) and Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (JEDI). With guidance and support from the Manager, Administration, you will embed related principles into their work.
Reporting to the Manager, Administration and taking direction from the PHC Manager, Accounting Services, the Financial Administrator is accountable for the accurate and efficient administration of the financial functions of the Foundry Central Office (FCO), in accordance with PHC policies and procedures. These responsibilities include monitoring and assisting with the development of program budgets, analyzing accounts, ensuring timely and accurate receipt and processing of invoices and other payments, preparing disbursements, and supporting and implementing improvements to periodic, year-end and monthly reporting and other requirements. Supervises Foundry finance clerical staff.
**Skills**:
- Knowledge and experience in working with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting policies.
- Demonstrated knowledge of computerized financial reporting systems and budget preparation.
- Advanced computer skills, specific to database navigation and reporting skills.
- Strong MS Office skills advanced Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
- Ability to comprehend complex technical reporting concepts and then implement solutions to meet reporting requirements.
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and quality of work.
- Strong mathematical and problem solving and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide supervision and leadership to support staff.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal direction.
- Ability to manage workflow and meet multiple tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus four (4) years’ recent experience related to financial analysis and data generation and reporting requirements or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
This is a hybrid role, with no set days in the office.

**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
