We are looking for an Operator - AIH to join us in the exciting work we do in AES. Reporting to the directly to the Chief Power Engineer, it’ll be your responsibility to ensure reliability, availability and safe operation of all facilities. In this position, you also get to focus on operational excellence which include the development and execution of a SSOP’s, Safe Work agreements and following all Health, Safety and Environmental policies and objectives.

**What You Get To Do**:
**General Operations**
- Work with the engineering team to optimize plant and field assets.
- Monitor plant operations to ensure all processes and equipment are operating within design parameters.
- Perform plant maintenance duties i.e. belt changes, filter changes, PSV removal and install etc.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s purchasing policy through requesting quotes, generating purchase orders and signing for receipt of product.
- Ensure compliance with QMS.
- Conduct operator rounds ensuring all equipment and processes are reviewed and recorded.
- Complete production logs.
- Patrol and inspect both field and plant pipeline right-of-way for corrosion, leaks, washouts freeze offs, hydrates and abnormalities on a regular basis and record, report and assist in any repairs required.
- Provide input into the Preventative maintenance program.
- Ensure plant equipment is ready to run properly when required for operation.
- Operate assets most profitably for the life of the organization. (life cycle profit).
- Operational data collection and information gathering to more effectively optimize operations.
- Inspect and supervise outside contractor crews, equipment crossing and/or work.
- Adjust product injection or retrieval as required.
- Conduct preliminary investigations of damage to equipment or plant facilities and complete reports as required.
- Inspect, operate, service, and maintain plant, regulating equipment, well and well-head measurement,, and any other duties related to measuring and regulating equipment as required.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards of all facilities
- Troubleshoot poor performance of facility processes.

**Health, Safety and Environment**
- Maintain the highest standard of safety by ensuring policies and procedures are followed in relation to operations and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with ABSA, OH&S, AER and all management system requirements.
- Work closely with the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) group to ensure compliance with government and company regulations.
- Understand and follow emergency response plans.

**Budget & Reporting**
- Assist in the development of 3-year maintenance and business plan.
- Be aware of operational costs to ensure facilities are on budget as set out in the business plan.

**Customer Service**
- Support all internal customers including Operations, Accounting, Engineering, Project Execution and Business Development.
- Provide industry leading customer service to ATCO’s external customers.
- Maintain good company relations with landowners, service companies, and customers as well as represent ATCO’s core values within the communities and industries we serve.
