**In this position, you will**: - Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate delivery vehicle daily - Complete logs and reports - Follow necessary regulations and safety standards - Drive a Ford F550 with a 17’ flat bed with side rails. Approximately 28’ overall length. - You will drive various other pick-up trucks or sprinter type vans as required - Make deliveries of windows, doors, and other material to construction sites. - You will transport steel glass racks at times. - You will transport long aluminum extrusion bundles on overhead truck rack - Pick up and deliver material to and from Suppliers. Pallets, custom dollies etc. - When not driving, you will be required to assist in our Manufacturing plant. This will involve loading/unloading trailers, accepting deliveries, and General help with Manufacturing of aluminum windows. This will require regular lifting, use of hand tools, assembly etc. - We expect up to 50% or more time will be spent not driving - You will be responsible for the daily safety check and routine maintenance of the truck **JOB QUALIFICATIONS** A G-class licence with a clean abstract and history of insurance - Experience with "hand bomb" style deliveries an asset - Available to work 5 weekdays and the occasional Saturday day shift - Strong knowledge of GTA roads - Reliable and flexible to drive within and outside the GTA - Minimum 1 year experience driving a 26 foot (or greater) truck - Ability to lift windows/material up to 50 lbs Good knowledge of truck safety/maintenance Experience in securing various types of loads for transport Ability to communicate with shipping/receiving personnel Ability to read and write English **EXPERIENCE** - Must have minimum 2 years professional G Class experience driving light trucks/straight trucks/cube vans - Factory labour experience and/or construction work experience is an asset - Forklift for loading and unloading truck **SCHEDULE** - Monday to Friday - Day shift -7am-5pm (occasionally earlier start time and later departure) - Occasional Saturday day shift **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent **Salary**: $20.00-$22.00 per hour **Benefits**: - Dental care - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - RRSP match Schedule: - Monday to Friday - Weekends as needed Supplemental pay types: - Bonus pay **Experience**: - delivery driving: 1 year (preferred) **Language**: - English (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Class G Licence (preferred) Shift availability: - Day Shift (preferred) Work Location: In person
