The Filler/General Labour role will play an integral role in the manufacturing process of safely and efficiently executing our compounding schedule. Filler will assist the Batch Makers with labelling and packaging boxes of colourant, splitting and filtering products in totes.
- if licensed but not required to operating Raymond Reach Truck, Forklift and Walkie
- Operate filling machines (which includes automated line of paint filling containers, stacking the lids, adding labels to the containers and put the finished container on the box to build a skid)
- Record filled product on an inventory sheet
- Wash tanks and filling equipment
- Use process equipment such as valves, pumps, scales and metres to operate and maintain the filling machines
- Able to do basic troubleshooting of automated machines
- Keep the work area clean and safe of hazards
- Record filled products on an inventory sheet
- Comply with the requirements of the Environmental Management System and the Quality Management System.
- Employ procedures and practices to reduce risk to employee health and risks to the surrounding community.

**Qualifications**:

- Prior experience working with chemical solvents, pigments and resins would be an asset
- Propane Counterbalance Forklift Certificate, Electric Raymond Reach is mandatory
- Physically capable - lift to 50 lbs, constantly standing
- GED or High School Diploma as well as Basic Mathematical Skills
- Computer Literacy - ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel
- Work well independently and within a team
- Problem solving skills
- Commitment to reaching production schedules under tight deadlines
- Able to handle repetitive tasks
