We're looking for teachers who can create innovative lesson plans related to physical development, social skills and cognitive development, as well as meet regularly with parents to discuss their children's progress and needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- The primary responsibility of the Early Childhood Educator (ECE) is to co-ordinate and lead her/his team in planning and implementing a program that provides for the optimal physical, cognitive, social, and emotional wellbeing of the children in her/his care.
- Works cooperatively as a team member, encourages others to do likewise, and consistently maintains a positive attitude.
- Takes the responsibility to maintain ratios in own rooms with the designated person in charge as well as monitoring ratios and making adjustments.
- Delegates, in a professional manner, to team members, volunteers, and students and consistently assumes the appropriate level of leadership.
- Takes initiative in completing tasks without direction.
- Directs and participates with children in all planned activities.
- Effectively supervises children on all scheduled school walks, field trips, and other outings.
- Completes children’s Progress Reports as scheduled.
- Well-developed interpersonal, and relationship-building skills; ability to establish rapport and excellent communication with members, staff, and volunteers.
- Attends and contributes to staff meetings and in-house professional development whether during or after regular work hours.
- Maintains confidentiality of clients, co-workers, and the center as appropriate.

Qualifications:

- An ECE diploma from a recognized Ontario college
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- Up-to-date First Aid and CPR
- Up-to-date Immunization and 2 tiered TB test
- Strengths in organizational skills, communication skills, parent education, and leadership
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Confident and flexible professionalism
- Love of outdoors

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
