**Position**:Operations Supervisor (Inbound)

**Location**:London, ON

**Type of Employment**:Full-Time - Monday to Friday

What to Expect

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure all inbound freight has been received
- Call outside carriers for time of arrival and check for any delays
- Update computer system with all inbound information daily
- Advise Operations of any inbound delays and inform as to reason why
- Ensure all inbound freight has been scanned, sorted and staged in correct area
- Establish objectives and plans for work area
- Organize work activities, equipment, supplies and materials to meet quality and productivity objectivesDetermine staffing requirements
- Train, motivate, reward and discipline staff
- Coordinate and direct work to meet work area’s goals
- Any additional duties as required

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years’ dispatch or operations experience
- Experience with transportation dangerous goods
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and ATS shipping system
- Post-secondary education is an asset
