The role of the Construction Estimator and Office Admin involves examining expenses and creating cost assessments for a range of projects, as well as delivering technical and administrative assistance to project management groups. Additionally, this position helps with developing project estimates and proposals by identifying potential risks and opportunities, and maintaining bid-winning strategies.

**Responsibilities**
- Leading the frontline communication with prospective and current clients, and team members.
- Research and prepare estimates from first base principles including full measures of cost and price on construction projects.
- Maintain an up-to-date directory of internal subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with key personnel on the preparation of all tenders for the purpose of winning work.
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc. to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimate figures, including current (accurate) information on prices from suppliers through direct contact, sales brochures, price lists, etc.
- Review and incorporate historical data from purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc. into unit and man-hour figures.
- Ability to use cost-estimating software to prepare cost quotes and bids.
- Prepare complete estimate for selected project with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, takeoff information, contracting, and the like.
- Ability to read and interpret building specifications, blueprints and as-builds
- Maintaining client records, processing new client requests, program renewals, and client collections.
- Promoting the organization to prospective clients.
- Providing administrative support for scheduling and confirming appointments.
- Providing administrative support to the management team.
- Preparing client marketing materials.

**Qualifications**
- Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills essential
- Computer/Office Machines - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
- English - proficient in business writing and verbal communication
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in construction/engineering degree, or an appropriate field.

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
