**Summary**:The Prepress Operator is responsible for all tasks involved from the receiving of client graphics files to providing final output for production, either in the form of electronic files for our digital operation or printing plates for our flexo presses. These tasks include: artwork preflight, creating electronic approvals and hard copy proofs for customers, preparing digital files for output, completing quality checks on flexo plates and delivering completed work to production.

**Primary Responsibilities for the Prepress Operator**:

- Examines files from customers and provides a preflight report to the sales department
- Prepares files and creates electronic or hard copy proofs for customer approval
- Prepares files (step and repeat, trapping etc.) for digital print or plate output following customer approval
- Inspects printing plates after plate output to ensure accuracy and quality
- Outputs printing plates when needed
- Delivers plates to the production department when necessary
- Follows all safety and food-safe procedures and complies with company policies
- Performs other related duties and tasks as required to meet the needs of our operations

**Qualifications of the Prepress Operator**:

- Experience with both Mac & PC platforms
- Experience with ESKO preferred
- Strong understanding of file management and automated work flow
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment

**Hours**:Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (can be flexible for earlier/later start)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
