Clinical Dietitian

Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences has an opportunity for a highly motivated and organized Clinical Dietitian to join the Eating Disorders Day Treatment Program.

**Responsibilities include**:

- planning and implementing therapeutic and special diets for adolescents with complex eating disorders and mental illness
- providing group-based nutrition programs for patients
- providing guidance to interdisciplinary staff
- ordering required food and nutrition for the program
- providing meal support for the patients during meal and snack times
- completing feeding assessments as part of the Dysphasia Management Team
- Some travel and work on weekends or evenings may be required

**Requirements**:

- The position requires knowledge of clinical nutrition acquired through a degree in Nutrition from an accredited university and registration with Dieticians of Canada and the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
- Ability to plan and coordinate work activities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred knowledge in “Health at Every Size”, non-diet approaches and body positivity
- Preferred knowledge working within an intuitive eating model
- Preferred knowledge about eating from a developmental perspective from birth to adult hood
- Preferred knowledge about the feeding relationship between parent (caregiver) and child
- Preferred knowledge in eating disorder treatment frameworks such as FBT, CBT-E, EFFT and DBT
- Ability and willingness to eat some meals with the patients and other team members
- Ability to work collaboratively in a family therapy-based context
- Demonstrated working knowledge/experience with computers
- Excellent documentation skills
- Evidence of strong professional boundaries
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within an inter-professional team environment
- CPR-HCP is required
- Valid driver's license required
