**What you will do**
- Prevent shoplifter theft by establishing a strong security presence
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers and patrons
- Arrest and/ or detain shoplifters as required
- Escort trespassers away from client premises
- Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
- Complete incident reports for security purposes
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
- Quickly respond to security and safety violations, property damage and alarms
- A Valid Security License
- A Valid Advanced Security Training Certificate
- Knowledge of the 5 steps to apprehend shoplifters
- Experience with arrests and detainments
- Retail security experience is highly preferred
- Customer service experience is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to attend meetings and additional training to improve existing skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Must be willing and comfortable to stand and patrol for the duration of the shift

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
