**Summary**:
We are currently seeking a **Shop Helper/Labourer - Summer Student** for our team in Burnaby for a work-term from May - August 2025. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to get experience in a dynamic, customer-centric, team environment, and be part of a fantastic Operations team. This role will report to the Manager, Operations.

**Role and Responsibilities**:

- Cleaning and sandblasting valves and parts
- Supporting in-house repairs and production work
- Painting valves and actuators
- Assist shipping team with palletizing and packaging
- Forklift operation (training will be provided)
- Organize inventory and assist with shop clean-up
- Interfacing with internal and external customers
- Ability to work overtime to meet customer requirements
- General labour, as required

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Attending a post-secondary institute in the Fall
- Mechanically knowledgeable
- Ability to successfully obtain Forklift Operation certification (training will be provided)
- Solid keyboarding and computer skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Team player
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
