**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments following established protocols and procedures.
- Collect, record, and analyze data accurately to ensure reliable results.
- Perform quality control checks on samples and equipment to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and functioning properly.
- Assist in the preparation of samples and reagents for testing.
- Document findings and prepare reports detailing experimental results and observations.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve laboratory processes.
- Perform analysis of raw material, in-process and finished products, de-ionized, and soft water and stability samples using analytical instruments and established analytical procedures and techniques as scheduled and by set deadlines.
- Examine the sample provided and write/advise any discrepancy on test and field reports.
- Perform general maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, according to the Lab’s established calibration program.
- Provides technical troubleshooting support or training to other team members where appropriate.
- Initiate changes for test procedures and testing specifications.Perform, record, and manage QC results for incoming raw materials and finished goods.
- 1. Use Personal Protective Equipment:

- Safety Glasses or Prescription Glasses (shatter proof)
- Safety boots
- Safety vest
- Safety ear plugs

When collecting chemical samples and adjusting chemistry
- Gloves
- PVC Apron

**Skills**
- Effective written& verbal communication skills
- Able to interpret work instructions for chemical analysis and calibration
- Able to maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance
- Motivated and able to follow instructions of QC Supervisor / Plant Manager
- Education in Chemistry and/or experience in chemical analysis is an asset but not mandatory
- Calibration and basic maintenance of laboratory test equipment is an asset but not mandatory.
- Able to work in warm to hot, humid environment where chemicals are used for coating / plating of parts.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
