Quality Control Inspector

Read and comprehend technical documentation
- Inspect, test, measure and control all and any AC or DC unit(s) or component including incoming, in-process
and final
- Inspect, test, measure and control all/any purchased supplies including raw material, processed and finished
parts
- Record test results, test procedures or inspection data
- Distinguish colours (not colour blind)
- Knowledge and hands-on experience of operating principles and the use of various industry standard precision
measuring tools and equipment including oscilloscope, megger, voltmeter, etc
- Knowledge, capability and hands-on experience to perform electrical tests (Insulation Resistance, Resistance
Test, Bar to Bar and Polarity);
- Knowledge, capability and hands-on experience to use measuring tools such as caliper, vernier, bore gage,
etc.
- Understanding of tolerances and interferences as they relate to electrical rotating equipment
- Follow process control procedures
- Maintain production and/or work records
- Complete various quality reporting tasks including non-conformance, etc.
- Actively participate in preparation of all internal/ third party/ regulatory audits
- To meet production deadlines and schedules
- To adhere to all company rules, policies and procedures at all times
- Maintain compliance for security risk eligibility and acceptance (ITAR)
- Participate in material or process reviews
- Maintain professional knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications
- Other tasks as assigned
**Education**: Canadian accredited or recognized post secondary education major in electro-mechanical or electrical
engineering or technology. Over 8 years experience hands on as winder (NOC 7333) may be substituted for
education.
**Experience**: minimum two (2) years hands on as quality control inspector (technologist) in similar environment
Working conditions: fast pace, attention to detail, distinguish colours (not colour blind), positive attitude, etc.
Personal suitability: speak, read, write and communicate in English is essential, follow orders and instructions,
being able to work with others or individually with minimum supervision, team player
