**Unit Summary**

The Pediatric Hematology & Oncology ambulatory (out-patient) clinic at McMaster Children’s Hospital (MUMC site) provides comprehensive care to children and adolescents diagnosed with cancer and/or blood disorders. The care includes acute tertiary and subspecialty oncology medical and surgical care in an outpatient setting, in collaboration with the inpatient team, as well as community partners. The out-patient care is delivered within a strong family-based care model and the Hem-Onc Clinics offer a well-established multi-disciplinary team approach. Following treatment, children and adolescents are followed across the lifespan through the After Care Team, whose mandate is to monitor for the late effects of their cancer treatments, within which Neuropsychology plays a key role.

**Position Summary**

**Schedule Work Hours**

Monday to Friday days (22.5 hour weekly)

**Qualifications**
- Doctoral level training in Clinical Neuropsychology from an accredited university
- Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university an asset
- Registered or eligible for registration as a psychologist or psychologist in supervised practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario for the practice of neuropsychology
- Minimum of two years recent, relevant experience working with children and adolescents
- Clinical training and current experience in neuropsychological assessment with adults also an asset
- Demonstrated consultation skills and ability to work flexibly with multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience providing supervision, teaching, and training
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and quality improvement
- Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and problem-solve effectively
- Demonstrated strength in written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide education to health care providers, students, and community
- Interest in developing and participating in research

Proficiency in both Official Languages would be an asset.
