We are seeking a highly skilled **Control Instrumentation Technician** to join our team. This role is integral to maintaining and optimizing the performance of our instrumentation and control systems within our batch polymerization facility

**Key Responsibilities**:

- ** Installation & Maintenance**:

- Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair instrumentation and control equipment, including sensors, transmitters, valves, and control systems.
- Ensure accurate functioning of process control systems
- ** Troubleshooting**:

- Diagnose and resolve issues with instrumentation, control loops, and automation systems to minimize downtime.
- Identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
- ** Calibration**:

- Conduct regular calibration of instrumentation to ensure accurate measurements of pressure, flow, temperature, and other variables.
- Maintain calibration records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- ** System Upgrades & Modifications**:

- Assist with upgrades, modifications, and expansions of control systems to improve process efficiency and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on new projects and installations.
- ** Safety & Compliance**:

- Work in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations, particularly in handling hazardous materials and environments.
- Conduct safety checks and risk assessments on control systems.
- ** Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including work orders, maintenance logs, and technical documentation.
- ** Collaboration**:

- Work closely with operators, engineers, and other technicians to support plant operations and address system issues.

**Qualifications**:

- ** Education & Certification**:

- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Certification as a Red Seal Instrumentation and Control Technician or equivalent is preferred.
- ** Experience**:

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls within a batch chemical processing, industrial manufacturing, or similar environment.
- ** Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting Schneider Modicon PLC’s and GE Fanuc IFix SCADA HMI and Historian Systems is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with instrumentation communication protocols
- Strong knowledge of pneumatic, ?, and electronic control systems.
- Experience with safety instrumentation systems is an asset.
