Safety is the core of everything we do, and we are currently seeking a dedicated **Safety & Compliance Coordinator** to support our growing team.
**Position Summary**
As the **Safety & Compliance Coordinator**, you will play a key role in ensuring our drivers and operations remain compliant with transportation regulations. Your main focus will be managing Hours of Service (HOS), addressing ELD-related issues, coaching drivers on compliance, and handling WCB claims. This role is essential to maintaining our safety-first culture and ensuring we operate efficiently and legally at all times.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and audit **Hours of Service (HOS)** and **ELD logs** for compliance.
- Identify HOS violations and coach drivers to ensure understanding and adherence.
- Troubleshoot and resolve ELD-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of driver logs and compliance documentation.
- Manage **WorkSafeBC (WCB) claims**, including filing, follow-ups, and return-to-work coordination.
- Support safety programs and initiatives, including training and safety meetings.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external safety audits.
- Stay up to date with federal and provincial transportation safety regulations.
- Collaborate with operations and HR to promote a culture of safety and accountability.
**Qualifications**
- 2+ years of experience in transportation safety or compliance (preferred).
- Strong understanding of **Canadian and U.S. Hours of Service regulations** and ELD systems.
- Experience with **WCB claims** management.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation compliance software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
