As the Head of Outreach and Development, you will lead a team of Regional Managers in effort to bring local Canadian communities together through National Zakat Foundation’s programs and services. You are an outgoing person who enjoys travelling to local Canadian cities and connecting with people. You are great at leading people but at the same time not afraid to get your hands dirty, in fact you believe that sometimes to lead a team you have to be among them. You have a vision to alleviate local poverty and enjoy working cross-functionally to reach your goals. Your work will talk to the lives of thousands across Canada - bringing some of the most crucial services to beneficiaries in the Muslim community.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Management & Leadership**
- Attain exceptional and deep knowledge of the NZF vision, focus, and services to be able to strategically develop plans that leverage the NZF's positioning, programs and resources.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan to grow and deepen NZF’s relationship with new and existing partners and organizations and identify areas for collaboration.
- Lead efforts to expand donors and beneficiaries of NZF among community and faith-based organizations, build NZF donor/follower identity, and increase positioning of NZF among the social services/zakat sector.
- Develop yearly and quarterly strategic goals and targets for outreach and development collaboratively with senior leadership team
- Develop plan for the expansion of local Zakat distribution projects, educational services, NZF feeds and seasonal zakat activities to masajid across the country.
- Develop a plan for networking and PR so that Regional Managers can nurture business relationships with external organizations (NGOs and governmental agencies) including PR, fundraising activities and collaboration opportunities.
- Hire and train all outreach staff to monitor various fundraisers and resolve all staff conflicts.[ZM2] [AA3]

**Community Outreach Strategy**
- Develop and oversee community outreach strategy for regional managers to implement.
- Develop community event planning and tracking platforms in order for regional managers to collaborate on organizing and facilitate events to engage the local community members and stakeholders.
- Develop a volunteer engagement strategy for Regional Managers to utilize in order to mobilize and retain volunteers for events, seminars, fundraisers, regional activities and programs.
- Prepare outreach presentations and train volunteers/staff on how to conduct outreach activities and e[ZM4] [AA5] vents. Provide an interface between all outreach volunteers and staff.
- Collaborate with Program Director to prepare monthly revenue projections and prepare all fundraising scripts, program briefs, sales pitches and reminder letters in partnerships with the marketing department.
- Develop a plan to better involve and incorporate feedback from partners and community organizations and those directly impacted by NZF programs and services.

**ADMINISTRATIVE, REPORTING & **Ad Hoc**
- Maintain an up-to-date database of partners, supporters, and collaborators
- Report on monthly outreach and development targets and achievements to Program Director
- Provide quarterly updates and report on KPIs to senior leadership team
- Support establishment of NZF in new regions across Canada
- Travel to other regions may be required for training, recruitment and major events. [ZM7]
- Attend all team meetings and trainings as required

**Qualifications/Experiences**:

- Basic knowledge of Zakat is required
- Previous leadership and management experience is required
- Ability to effectively speak and present in small and large audience settings is a requirement
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
- Strong organization and multi-tasking skills
- Self-driven individual with the ability to self-manage
- A valid drivers’ license and vehicle is required
- Flexible schedule is required for evenings and weekends
