At The Reproductive Care Centre, we provide insight, hope and care for patients who have concerns about their fertility and overall reproductive health. **RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Financial Counsellor will be responsible for the following:
- Meeting with patients for financial counseling and assist throughout process of treatment.
- Dedication to deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to calculate, communicate and document patient responsibility for all stages of care to patients.
- Excellent organization skills and ability to follow-through on all daily tasks.
- Problem solving skills and ability to act as a patient advocate to ensure highest levels of patient care.
- Perform patient financial orientations
- Process patient payments in accounting system and using POS
- Prepare invoices and assist with collections
- Assist with preparation of day sheets/daily revenue collections and outstanding invoices
- Assist and/or lead special programs/projects
- Assist with bookkeeping
- Assist with OHIP billing & reconciliations
- Assist with month-end processes
**Skills**:
- Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and decision making
- Excellent computer skills, comfortable with working with an EMR
- Able to work effectively in a team to provide excellent patient care
- Demonstration of good attendance and work performance
- Demonstrated ability to respond to emergency situations.
- Knowledgeable about providing a safe and inclusive environment to gender and sexually diverse people (2SLGBTQIA+)
- Committed to patient centered care.
**Experience / Position Requirements**:
- Experience as financial coordinator/ counsellor in a private healthcare environment an asset
- Experience in Sales and payment
- Bookkeeping experience an asset
- Experience in health care an asset
