Equipment Shop Supervisor

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced **Shop Supervisor** to join our team in overseeing the daily operations of equipment installation shop. The Shop Supervisor will ensure that all projects are completed efficiently, on time, and to the highest safety and quality standards. This is a leadership role that demands technical expertise in heavy-duty trucks, strong problem-solving abilities, and a focus on team development.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance, training and ongoing support.
- Coordinate closely with the Sales Department to manage the scheduling and prioritization of projects, optimizing workflow and reducing turnaround times.
- Offer hands-on technical support, utilizing your knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and equipment to assist the team.
- Review completed work orders, ensuring proper documentation and accurate descriptions of work performed.
- Uphold a safe and well-organized work environment, adhering to all relevant safety regulations and company protocols.
- Implement and maintain shop procedures to guarantee service quality and efficiency.
- Identify training opportunities and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that may arise.
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a truck and transport repair environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of truck and trailer systems, with experience in hydraulic systems, welding, and electrical wiring for heavy-duty vehicles.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team of technicians.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with both internal teams and external customers.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all projects.
- Proficient in shop management software and computer systems.
