Your Opportunity: Wetaskiwin has an exciting opportunity for a part time Service Worker/Porter. As a Service Worker you will be an invaluable member of the multidisciplinary team throughout the hospital, by transporting patients, and equipment. You will also demonstrate genuine interest and respect for our patients and utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to provide support to the staff and the patients we serve. Wetaskiwin is located 70 km south of Edmonton in the heart of Central Alberta. The city name comes from the Cree word which means" the hills where peace was made". You can take a self-guided tour through the historic downtown and read about the peace cairn that commemorates sixty years of peace between the Blackfoot and the Cree. Wetaskiwin has an extensive trail system that leads you around the entire city with a direct connection to By-the-Lake Park. Year-round markets provide citizens and visitors with fresh fruit, produce and many different homemade items. The Manluk Centre offers swim lessons, Fitness programs and Aquatic Leadership courses, as well as party facilities. There's always something to do in Wetaskiwin Description: As a Service Worker I, you will be responsible for transporting patients (clients/residents) and equipment to and from different patient care areas within a hospital site. You will distribute and replenish hospital supplies throughout the units and clean equipment and patient care areas as directed. You may also transport lab specimens, blood and blood products, and patient charts.
