**Job Description** AECOM Buildings + Places**, AECOM's Architectural business unit, is seeking an **Electrical BIM Technicia**n to join our team. This position is based out of our Canadian headquarters in Markham, ON with opportunities for hybrid work.
The Buildings and Places Team is a vibrant and growing business line which delivers Engineering, architectural and project management services as well as planning and economic analysis for vertical construction projects. Project assignments may include, although not limited to, commercial, institutional, healthcare, pharmaceutical, water / waste water and transit facilities.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- CAD operating and designing for Electrical systems using Revit, MicroStation and AutoCAD
- Ensuring overall data quality and integrity
- Preparing Electrical design drawings
- Preparing documentation for design projects and reports
- Undertaking quality control procedures
- Working within a team environment and being able to communicate effectively with other project team members and customers
- Assuring that engineering related issues are promptly relayed to the Project Manager for action, and supporting timeliness of resolution effort
**Qualifications** Minimum Requirements**:
- College Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or other relevant field of study + 2 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education may also be considered.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Relevant experience using Revit and AutoCAD (version 2010 or later) and 3D capable.
- Basic design skills in lighting, power and fire alarm
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent attention to detail
- Possess excellent written and communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients
