**We are currently recruiting for a Dishwasher**

The dishwasher is a position that provides support to restaurant and staff while offering fundamental training and experience to the employee. The dishwasher maintains high standards for cleanliness by washing tableware, kitchen items and performing other cleaning tasks as assigned, such as assisting with food preparations. The dishwasher must be organized, follow all proper sanitation procedures and policies, will store all dish ware properly, log and record any breakage for reporting to the sous chef.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Clean all dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans, serving items and equipment as per the approved and approved food safe guide.
- Operate the dishwasher and check all items for cleanliness
- dishwasher must be cleaned properly (racks removed) as per standards daily.
- Store all clean dishes in appropriate areas
- Maintain all dishwashing and other cleaning equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe environment around the dishwashing areas
- Must sweep & mop entire kitchen several times a day to maintain cleanliness
- Assist in unloading and organizing daily food delivery
- Clean the garbage area, sort & organize trash
- Assist with food preparation as required
- Assist with making food deliveries to clients if required

**Main Responsibilities, Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities**:

- Must be able to stand for long periods and multi-task in a fast-paced environment while performing physical activities that require moderate strength including climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and handling of materials. The dishwasher must be able to perform tasks safely in an environment that is often wet. Must exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four hours in length. Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc weighing up to 40 pounds (18 kg) and must posse’s finger dexterity to use small tools adeptly. Must follow instructions carefully.
- **Communication**: must communicate in a professional manner with co-workers, management, and clients. Must be able to understand instructions, read company memorandums, and communicate clearly when he or she needs more direction.
- **Interpersonal Relationships**: must adapt to different personalities of clients, guests, co-workers, and management without losing focus.
- **Problem Solving**: must recognize a problem when it arises and be able to resolve it appropriately by using good judgment and initiative according to company policy and procedure.
- **Quality Control and Priority Assessment**: Assess the value, and importance of products and customer needs to maintain a high standard of quality
- **Technical Skills**:Must know or quickly learn how to use and maintain commercial dishwashing equipment, and understand and manage cleaning supplies.
- **Flexibility**: Occasionally work overtime when needed and assist the workload of others when required
- Valid food-safe handling certification.
- Current (within 6 months) Police Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Screening;

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
