J with a K Music is an innovative music school in Toronto that offers more to both their teachers and students than the "standard" private lesson structure. We teach private lessons in students homes, schools, daycares, and online. That's not all, the J with a K team teaches group classes at our group space in the Annex. We also offer summer camps, birthday parties, and special events. J with a K is the main exam centre in Toronto for all Rockschool® exams and all instructors have access to the curriculum. Job Summary: - Comfortable teaching to ALL ages - Happy to create fun and innovative lessons - Team: Motivated to work alongside like-minded, passionate music educators, and be a part of the community of the music studio - We are the the Rockschool® Ontario representatives If you are familiar with this curriculum, or would be interested in learning about it, it is considered an asset. - Strong communication and problem-solving skills - Open to teaching private lessons and group lessons - Prepare students for Exams, Competitions, Festivals, and Performances - Must be reliable, dedicated, motivated, and be well-versed in many musical genres - Be sure to list any other instruments you are comfortable teaching, as well as the levels for each instrument Travel: - J with a K is travelling music school. As such, having a vehicle is considered an asset. Applicants must be willing to travel to student's homes.
