Industrial Maintenance Specialist

Join our client's vibrant Maintenance Department as we seek a dedicated Industrial Maintenance Specialist to support their production team. Your mission is to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime, contributing to a smooth and efficient operation.

**Position Overview**:In this role, your primary focus will be on providing technical support that enhances production uptime. You will be instrumental in implementing preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and coordinating with third-party service providers to maintain our facilities. This position requires night shift availability

Key Responsibilities:

- Schedule and prepare for annual inspections.
- Ensure adequate shift coverage and maintain accurate logbook documentation.
- Execute preventive maintenance tasks according to established programs.
- Respond to emergency and unscheduled repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, repair or replace parts, and make necessary adjustments.
- Communicate effectively with external contractors as needed.
- Operate and maintain steam boilers, adhering to safety protocols.
- Update and maintain system records and documentation.
- Coordinate activities of outside contractors when required.
- Maintain cleanliness in the boiler room and manage chemical dosing equipment.Conduct weekly checks on chemical levels in the boiler and water softener.

Qualifications:

- Certified Millwright with a minimum of 3 years of experience or equivalent education and work experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong technical background with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining equipment.
- Proficient in using computer programs such as CMMS, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
