Functioning as a mid-level healthcare provider under the supervision and direction of an attending pediatric surgeon, you will provide acute care coverage of pediatric inpatients and outpatients and use your medical knowledge and skills to help children and families. If you are an international medical graduate who is looking for a way to put your medical skills to work, this opportunity is for you This role offers the opportunity to contribute as an important member of the collaborative pediatric surgery care team at the Children’s Hospital in London ON. Our team consists of four pediatric general surgeons, one nurse practioner, a fellow, residents and medical students. This part time position offers you the opportunity to gain broad clinical experience in pediatric surgery while growing your career and working to your full scope of practice. The Children’s Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre (LHSC) is an academic paediatric hospital which provides specialized surgical care to the neonatal and paediatric populations of Southwestern and Northern Ontario. Our hospital serves a population of over 2,378,932 million or 17.2% of Ontario’s population, with children comprising 22.7% of this population. This translates into over 500,000 children receiving surgical care at our hospital. As a regional referral centre, we provide specialized pediatric inpatient and outpatient services to children in Southwestern Ontario from birth through to age 18. Health care professionals, parents and families from all over the region count on the specialized expertise and surgical care offered at Children’s Hospital.

**Qualifications**:

- Eligibility to work in Canada (e.g., Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and individuals with open work permits)
- English Language Proficiency
- Medical Degree - obtained within Canada or the US or international
- CPSO license:
Preference will be given to applicants who have recent experience in an acute care facility; specifically, those who have had specific experience within the last 3 years in pediatric surgery. Prior experience working as an Associate Physician/Surgeon in a Canadian healthcare setting is an asset.
