Retail Store Manager - Boutique Awesome

Are you passionate about trading card games and building an amazing community? Boutique Awesome is looking for a Retail Store Manager to lead our team, grow our events, and bring awesome energy to our store If you’re a natural leader with retail experience and a love for TCGs like Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon, Lorcana, or Star Wars Unlimited, we want to hear from you.

About the Role

As Store Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Boutique Awesome. You’ll work closely with staff, customers, and the leadership team to ensure the store is running smoothly, events are fun and well-executed, and the team is motivated, supported, and thriving. This role is part community builder, part retail expert, and part team coach.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead the front-line retail team to deliver an awesome customer experience every day

Manage scheduling, staff development, and day-to-day leadership of the team

Oversee product merchandising, inventory management, and restocks

Help plan, promote, and run events—our heart and soul

Ensure high standards for cleanliness, organization, and customer service

Handle cash and POS procedures accurately and confidently

Collaborate with ownership to implement marketing strategies and drive store growth

Train new staff and help build a positive, inclusive, and fun team culture

What We're Looking For

Previous retail management experience (bonus points if it’s in the TCG, hobby, or gaming space)

Strong leadership skills—you know how to motivate, support, and grow a team

Excellent communication skills in both English and French

Tech-savvy: POS systems, Google Workspace, and basic troubleshooting

Passion for trading card games and the community that comes with them

Flexible availability including evenings and weekends

Ability to run events of all sizes and keep the energy fun and organized

A great attitude and a love for people

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Management: 2 years (required)
