**The opportunity**:
We are currently looking for a **Global Mobility Specialist **to join our Corporate Human Resources team. The Global Mobility Specialist is the primary point of contact for all mobility immigration needs and is responsible for managing the day to day operations of global mobility including the set-up and verification of all assignees and business travelers.

**Accountabilities**:
More specifically, the Global Mobility Specialist will:

- Prepare documentation for entrance visas for Emera assignees;
- Compile all required documentation for preparation of immigration packages by third party immigration law firm;
- Maintain records of visas and expirations and prepare renewals;
- Manage immigration process for third party consultants to enter Canada;
- Manage the preparation and remittances of international tax, social security and payroll in conjunction with third party tax provider and Emera payroll team;
- Report on assignment costs and conduct various financial analyses;
- Prepare assignment letters and agreements;
- Develop and update global mobility policies;
- Manage relationships with Global Relocation Vendor and other third-party vendors.

**Skills, Capabilities and Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, human resources or a related field;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to defuse and react calmly in pressure situations;
- Strong financial analysis skills;
- Ability to influence, negotiate and build collaborative relationships with all levels of the organization, including senior executives;
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality;
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy;
- Canadian Employee Relocation Professional (CERP) or Canadian Global Mobility Professional certificate will be considered a strong asset;
- Previous experience in mobility with a global workforce both domestic (Canada/US) and international would be considered an asset;
- Knowledge of Canadian, US and Caribbean personal income tax, social security and international tax treaties would be considered an asset.
