**Boeing Vancouver** is seeking a **Technical Product Manager** reporting to the Senior Manager of the Analytics Solutions Portfolio working out of the **Richmond, British Columbia** office. You are motivated by the challenge of launching a new, disruptive digital product into the aviation market, and have a strong desire to help customers solve hard problems and achieve business value using our products. You’re energized by working directly with customers, soliciting and analyzing customer feedback, and using the feedback to help shape product strategy. You have a keen interest in machine learning and advanced analytics, and building products to democratize data science. You’re an outstanding communicator who will be the voice of the product both internally and externally, and an excellent team player and positive influencer who works hard to build rapport with customers, teammates and stakeholders.

The Technical Product Manager will join the product leadership team for an AI-based product that leverages full-flight airplane sensor data for predictive maintenance. In this role, you’ll contribute to product strategy and identify new product opportunities through analysis and understanding of customer feedback and customer usage data. You’ll lead the development of technical requirements for new product capabilities and features, collaborate closely with the data science team and software development to build out the product vision, and validate early product definitions with customers.

Boeing Vancouver houses a small but mighty product team, bringing new products to market that enable customers to perform advanced analytics on full-flight airplane sensor data. We’re combining data science expertise and a sharp focus on business impact, with empathy for our customers’ day-to-day struggles, to define a new way of working with airplane data. **Position Responsibilities**:

- Work with the product management team to develop and maintain the technical solution roadmap, soliciting input and validation from the data science and software development teams
- Develop technical requirements and specifications for the product, including briefs for large capabilities, and definitions of epics and features
- Work closely with the Product Owner to communicate requirements to the development team as part of an Agile software development process
- Work closely with the Data Science team to develop new Proof-of-Concept analytics capabilities and evaluate feasibility for inclusion in the product roadmap
- Review software design decisions and provide product-level feedback to the software development team
- Prioritize features for development, and work with the product portfolio team to resolve resource conflicts to meet product business objectives
- Become an expert in using the product, and be able to demonstrate and present product capabilities to internal stakeholders and external customers; understand the product value from the customer perspective
- Communicate with customers to understand their needs and pain points, and gather product feedback as well as track customer usage using analytics tools
- Work with the implementation, training, and support teams to ensure customers are efficiently on-boarded to the product and can use it successfully
- Champion a culture of quality, learning, trust, and collaboration

**Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)**:

- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- 3+ years’ experience as a software Product Manager or Product Owner
- Demonstrated experience in developing, documenting, and managing technical requirements
- Very strong communication and presentation skills required - the ability to clearly and confidently communicate product capability and value to large groups, including both technical and business audiences, is essential
- Demonstrated experience leading an integrated product team to develop and execute a product roadmap is required
- Post-secondary education in a STEM field; e.g. Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or another related field

**Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience)**:

- Domain knowledge in the aviation & aerospace industry is an asset
- Experience working within an agile development project management framework (e.g. SAFE, scrum, Kanban) is an asset
- Experience in predictive maintenance is an asset
- Experience working with SaaS delivery
