**The Surgmed** **Group** of Companies is currently searching for a part-time Maintenance Worker to ensure upkeep of our facilities. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, meticulous, and ready to become part of an amazing team.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Building Cleaning:

- Cafeteria - ensuring the floor is cleaned and mopped daily; sink, counters and tables are cleaned & disinfected. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen appliances. Replenish hand towels and soap dispensers.
- Bathrooms - cleaning & disinfecting, replenish toilet paper, hand towels, and soap dispensers.
- Cleaning general areas as needed.
- Empty garbage cans and recycling containers.
- Upkeep cleanliness of exterior of the building.
- All other related general duties

Building Maintenance:

- Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
- Take out recycling bins
- Perform minor fixes
- Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
- Report to manager of any issues
- Help with company events setup/cleanup
- All other related general duties

Warehouse support:

- Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the warehouse
- Pick up all debris on warehouse floor (pallets, plastic wrap, etc.)
- Prepare pallet loads
- Support operation requirements as needed.
- Perform other duties as required

**HIRING REQUIREMENTS**:

- Working knowledge of French or English written and spoken
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position
- Stamina and strength to perform manual labor
- Able to lift boxes up to 25kg

**SCHEDULE**:
4 hours a day, Monday to Friday. To be chosen between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Total of 20 hours a week.

Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour
