General Labour-picking/packing/quality Control

**Duties**
- Accurately pick merchandise from various warehouse locations using a picking cart, ensuring correct item numbers and locations are verified with RF scanning equipment. Handle products carefully to avoid damage and report any damaged items promptly.
- Safely and efficiently pack customer orders, ensuring items are secure using packing materials like paper or by adjusting box sizes. Label packed boxes correctly and place them on the conveyor belt for shipment.
- Inspect products for defects and damages during picking and packing processes, ensuring items meet quality standards before they are packed and shipped.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by breaking down empty cardboard boxes and placing them in designated bins. Avoid piling orders around the conveyor belt to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow all health and safety practices, including adhering to OH&S Act regulations, watching for MHE traffic, and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Regularly lift and move items up to 55 lbs, while maintaining proper lifting techniques.
- Participate in cross-training across other departments to gain versatility and support overall warehouse operations as needed.
- Be available to work flexible hours and shifts to meet the changing needs of the business.
- Other tasks, duties and special projects as assigned.

**Experience**
- Minimum one (1) year of experience working in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with RF equipment is required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain focus under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
- Ability to follow established safety procedures and guidelines, including knowledge of Health & Safety and WHMIS regulations.
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs regularly and walk throughout the entire shift.
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent related experience.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a continuous improvement culture to meet company objectives.
- Must be able to make accurate and effective decisions in a fast-paced setting.
- Required to wear CSA-approved safety shoes for workplace safety.

**Equipment Used**:

- Radio Frequency Gun (RF equipment)
- Manual Picking Cart (approximately 80 lbs)
- Large flatbed cart or small double cart for picking tasks.

Pay: From $18.82 per hour
