**Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated Janitor/Kitchen Helper to join our team at Comfort Inn by Choice Hotels in Campbell River. This role is vital in maintaining cleanliness and organization in our kitchen, contributing significantly to our commitment to guest satisfaction.
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the preparation and serving of food items
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment and work areas
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Clean all the public areas and take out garbage
- Help with inventory management and restocking supplies
- Support kitchen staff as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
- Ensure proper waste disposal and recycling practices
- Report any maintenance issues to the manager

**Qualifications**
- Must be available to work **Saturday** and **Sunday**and **Statutory holidays** as needed
- Previous experience in a kitchen or cleaning role is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 20 per week
