Calgary, Canada Ironwood Stage & Grill Full time

**About the Opportunity**:
The Ironwood Stage & Grill is looking for a full-time (30-40 hours/week) line cook to join our team. We are a 150 seat all-ages live music venue that hosts a wide range of events and concerts throughout the week. Evening shows often begin at 8 P.M. with matinee shows on the weekends at 2 P.M. It is a casual work environment with experienced and dedicated staff. We are looking for someone that has a passion for food and is eager to learn and excel in a stimulating work environment. Experience would be considered an asset; however, we are always open to training the right person with the right attitude.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Setting up and stocking stations
- Preparing food for service (ie: chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, or making a soup)
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen team
- Being aware of and adhering to proper food safety standards
- Maintaining a ‘clean-as-you-go’ environment
- Leaving the kitchen organized, stocked and clean

**Requirements**:

- A love for cooking
- Reliable
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Previous experience would be considered an asset
- An interest and ability to work in a fast-paced/high-volume environment
- Ability to take initiative and work self-sufficiently
- Able to work the line solo and problem-solve under pressure
- Being self-motivated and task-oriented
- Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks at one time
- Be adaptable to changing circumstances
- Availability to work late on weekend evenings is a **MUST,** with the occasional weekday evening or two.
