The **LOGISTICS COORDINATOR** is the primary Customer and Transportation Vendor contact that initiates and completes all tasks for transportation services. This includes creating an order, sourcing a carrier and invoicing the customer. Success in this position is defined as: 1) Satisfied Customers measured by Volume and Revenue growth, 2) Positive relationships with carriers that promotes service performance and financial results, measured by margin and load on-time performance, 3) accurate and complete execution of Accessorial events that maximize YLCA’s positive financial impact, and 4) growth in customer satisfaction.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Timely order entry and updates in operating system for reflecting accurate records of logistics - load notes, pricing, accessorial charges.
- Selection of appropriate and cost-effective means of transportation (FTL, LTL, Intermodal) that maximizes margin and satisfies customer’s requirements.
- Timely completion of billing (within 5 days of transaction) and invoicing procedures to enhance cash cycle.
- Source and qualify carriers to ensure load coverage and service.
- Problem resolution that surface from our Customers and Vendors through to resolution and completion.
- Carrier development and maintaining positive carrier relationships.
- Resolve rate discrepancies with carriers and respond to returned pre-notes in a timely manner to promote On Time Performance (OTP).
- Continuous communication of, and development of, multi-modal capabilities to our customers.
- Best use of judgment that balances customer needs, YLCA’s yield and final service results.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Transportation Manager.

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**:

- High School Diploma.
- Minimum one (1) year relevant experience.
- Excellent written and verbal business communication skills for communicating with customers/vendors.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations as they relate to calculating pricing, revenue, and margin.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Browser)
- Strong keyboard skills for accurate and timely data entry.
- Must be able to present oneself in a cooperative and professional manner with both internal and external customers and vendors.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines, while keeping work/files organized.
- Ability and eagerness to learn new tasks and follow-through independently with mínimal supervision.
- Keen ability to assess situations, perform root cause analysis, and provide solutions.
- Effective time management - ability to manage self, time and priorities.

Please note that this is a **HYBRID POSITION**. A combination of on-site attendance and work from home is required.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
