Red Deer, Canada Cosmos Community Support Services Ltd Full time

Cosmos Bottle Depots is looking for a driver for our bottle depot locations. This position will require individuals to pick up deliveries from various locations surrounding Red Deer and the area. The driver is responsible for picking up empty recyclable containers and bringing them to our locations to be sorted.

**Please note**: this position could be a combination of in-house production work and the operation of a truck and trailer.

Job Responsibilities
- Pick up deliveries safely and bring them to a specific bottle depot to be sorted. As part of this duty, verify pick-up loads against the paperwork.
- Determine the most efficient route to destinations to ensure timely pick-ups
- Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation.
- Operate equipment, including vehicles, in a way that facilitates the loading and unloading of the truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer’s safety instructions for that equipment.
- Take on material handling duties as necessary to complete the pick-up/delivery to destination locations, including handling materials during loading and unloading.
- Follow the pick-up schedule.
- Relay customer feedback, including concerns/complaints

Other Job Responsibilities
- Practice safe driving habits
- Follow all provincial regulations and standards
- Load and unload pick-up
- Keep exterior and interior of the vehicle clean and presentable
- Complete reports, such as pre and post trips
- Follow schedules
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations
- Provide friendly customer service to every client

**Qualifications**:

- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Must have truck and trailer driving experience
- Provide a clean criminal check
- Demonstrate safe driving practices
- Able to follow verbal directions, read maps, follow GPS
- Able to work well alone
- Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties
- Able to adapt to changing schedules or routines
- Excellent time management skills

Education
- Completion of grade 12

**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
