- **About the Opportunity**:

- Specific Accountabilities:- Lead high-priority provincial research projects and develop strategies that align clinical research operations with Nova Scotia Health’s goals, focusing on efficiency, innovation, and patient impact.
- Drive initiatives to expand clinical trial access across the province, including risk mitigation, industry collaboration, and infrastructure development to strengthen research care capacity.
- Provide leadership in daily operations, resource allocation, and cost-recovery models while supporting study start-up, activation, and recruitment across all clinical trial types.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), financials, and research quality, delivering data-driven insights and operational reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Develop SOPs and policies, support grant submissions, oversee CFI-funded projects, and coordinate with internal departments and external partners to ensure research quality and sustainability.

** About You**:

- We would love to hear from you if you have the following:- Graduate degree in a relevant field with demonstrated knowledge of industry sponsored clinical research, and the academic research environment. A combination of education and experience may be considered at the discretion of the employer.
- Licensed Healthcare professional an asset. Ambulatory patient care experiences an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of clinical research experience managing complex study teams and high trial volumes, delivering direct research care across multiple treatment areas.
- Strong understanding of clinical research operations, including study lifecycle management, finances, quality, performance, patient care, and industry partnerships an asset.
- Experience developing policies, standard operating procedures, and processes that support research unit operations, research care and research quality is a strong asset.
- Understanding of quality assurance and regulatory requirements is an asset.
- Demonstrated team leadership skills and knowledge of change management techniques.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and meet timelines and to work effectively on multiple projects while
- Superior communication, interpersonal, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Well-developed analytical, organizational, time management and planning skills.
- Proven ability to work independently.
- Proven ability to work within a team.
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution and rapport-building skills.
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred-
