**PCM Artificial Lift Solutions - Europump **is seeking a **Safety Coordinator **for **PCM Canada.**
PCM Artificial Lift Solutions - Europump offers a full range of hydraulic and electric surface equipment,
PCP’s and mechanical & repair services for the Oil & Gas Industry.
We are looking for a reliable and experienced **Safety Coordinator** to ensure everyone in the company complies with health and safety laws. You will work proactively with managers to establish and maintain a safe working culture and a safe work environment.
**The responsibilities of the Safety Coordinator include but are not limited to**:
You will communicate health and safety program requirements and initiatives to employees. You will support managers to maintain safe work practices and implement best practice You will also develop policies to promote occupational health and safety awareness, while establishing a positive health and safety culture. You will work with management personnel to ensure that controls and procedures are followed and maintained, driving best practices into our programs.
The goal is to support the creation of a healthy and safe workplace.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develop, execute and maintain health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Prepare policies and procedures to assist management in establishing a culture of health and safety
- Develop and enforce OH&S policies (e.g. accident reporting process)
- Provide support for recordable and non-recordable incident investigations
- Keep records of safety-related incidents and propose corrective actions
- Conduct annual Certificate of Recognition audit and manager improvement plan
- Collaborate with managers to monitor compliance and identify safety issues
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures to minimize safety risks and improve overall culture of health and safety
- Manage and track safety tickets and company orientation requirements for employees and contractors
- Intervene in unsafe activities or operations
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
- Liaise with and report to official regulatory bodies on OH&S matters
**Requirements and skills**:
- Canadian Safety Advisor or equivalent certification
- Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or a related post-secondary certificate is an asset
- Proven experience as safety coordinator or similar
- In-depth knowledge of OH&S guidelines and practices
- Experience in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Experience in implementing OH&S training programs
- Proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities
- Diligent with an analytical mind
- BSc/Ba in business administration, law or relevant field
- Valid qualification in occupational health and safety
- Experience with WCB claims management
**Salary dependent on experience and education.**
