**Project Manager (FEAT)**

**Key Purpose of the Job**:
DNEG Animation is growing quickly after successfully delivering our first Animation features and Short Film. Together we are bringing the vision of both major Hollywood studios and independent productions to life. DNEG Animation is a leader in stylized and realistic effects focused on a variety of animation projects.

Our Project Manager works closely with the Project Management team and directly reports to our ProgramManager. You will work with the Pipeline team globally to deliver transformational technology projects. Using your understanding of Agile best practices to produce high quality work to improve the efficiency of our pipeline. You will also be collaborating with other departments such as creative departments, Technical Supervisors and show leadership.

Your excellent communication skills will be put to use in connecting stakeholder requirements to the development team, as well as understanding and the wider priorities of the department.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Schedule development projects based on available resource and competing priorities
- Plan and coordinate development projects in close collaboration with Pipeline Supervisors and the Pipeline HOD
- Balance day-to-day support tasks with ongoing development commitments
- Report project progress to the Program Manager, Pipeline HOD, PMO and project stakeholders
- Monitor risks for your projects and escalate issues where necessary
- Track external dependencies and liaise with relevant project and product teams
- Ensuring outputs meet requirements within time, quality, cost constraints
- Acting as the point of escalation for the team, mitigating risks, providing guidance, helping with dependencies and blockers.
- Ensure all projects governance requirements are met and adhered to
- Collaborate with Resource Managers to ensure effective communication and resource management
- Set templates and governance for projects. Managing all phases of project delivery from Preparation to Execution to Transition, ensuring stage gate controls and relevant sign offs are in place throughout the project
- Chairing Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning
- Collaborate with other Project Managers and Coordinators to maintain best practices and processes for the Pipeline team

- Forward thinking with the ability to plan ahead whilst balancing the priorities of immediate delivery needs

**Must have**
- Experience as a Project Manager, or equivalent, in a technical environment
- Practical knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Exposure to different project management methodologies
- Familiarity with scheduling and ticketing tools such as MS Project and JIRA
- High degree of competency with project management and methodology including Agile, Kanban and Scrum
- Experience working with teams and stakeholders spread across multiple locations

**Nice to have**
- Agile (Scrum/Kanban), PMP or PRINCE2 certification
- Basic knowledge of VFX or Animation pipelines and tools
- Experience in VFX or Feature Animation
