**Context**:
It takes a village to raise a child. It also takes a system of caring community members working together to support people who are homeless or at-risk of losing their homes.
You are the right person for this position if you are Indigenous; you understand how to communicate complex ideas and data, and you have the ability and drive to advocate for the needs of Indigenous people without homes in Ottawa.
**The Role**:
Reporting to the Housing Director, the Data Analyst - Coordinated Access Program will provide Indigenous specific coordinated access support within Wabano, as well as to the Aboriginal Community Advisory Board (ACAB), comprised of local Indigenous non-profit community-based organizations. In addition, they will have focus on the following areas:
- You will provide Indigenous specific coordinated access support within Wabano, as well as to the Aboriginal Community Advisory Board (ACAB), comprised of local Indigenous non-profit community-based organizations.
- Collect and link data from various sources and relevant data bases, such as HIFIS and other related ones.
- Work collaboratively with managers as point of resources for relevant data bases, maintain staff training to build capacity, and use data to produce information.
- Collaborate with, and provide support to, users related to data collection, custom form development, and trouble-shooting technical issues.
- Consult and collaborate with internal and external IT resources, as required, to track and resolve problems.
- In collaboration with department managers, develop and monitor data quality standards, including procedures for the Wabano - wide collection of socio-demographic data.
- Monitor, analyze, and track key indicators and conduct specific drill-down analyses as needed. Required analyses may include trending, impact analysis and benchmarking as requested to support monthly utilization reporting and presentation to internal and external committees and agencies.
- Prepare user-friendly reports and utilize feedback for improvements.
- Manage data associated with required and requested reports.
- Manage user accounts for multiple information management systems and add-ons.
**Qualifications**:

- Essential:_
- Proven superior relationship building ability.
- Proven interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills interacting with Executives, clients, staff, and community members.
- Advanced computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint).
- Degree or diploma in information systems, data analysis or equivalent field.
- Strong problem solving, planning, decision-making, organizational and change management skills.
- Experience with tools used for data analysis (e.g. SAS, SQL, Tableau).
- Commitment to the principles of health equity and inclusion.
- Experience and/or knowledge of Indigenous languages, cultures, traditions, or community practices.
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Desirable:_
- At least 1 year of experience in the social services or health care field.
- Ability to bring teams together in a collaborative manner and support on-going cohesiveness in a dynamic environment.
**Salary**:
Range $60,000 - $65,000 per year + Benefits
