**The opportunity**

Reporting to the AVP, Continuous Delivery - Manulife Bank this position will be responsible for all aspects of data management. This position will be responsible for leading and executing a strategic roadmap for collecting, storing, processing and managing Bank data to support and enable advanced analytics, business reporting and digital transformation to help drive accelerated growth.

**Responsibilities**
- Responsible to drive data strategy and assist in the definition, identifying data needs and sources, prioritize data ingestion and related API’s (services) to / from Enterprise Data Lake
- Collaborate with product, technology, privacy and other stakeholders on the data requirements, capture data demand and develop the data road map required to meet these needs
- Establish and Manage the data governance, data management practices to ensure Bank data is accessible, consistent, high quality and auditable when data is shared outside Bank
- Work with the Canadian Data Office and PLE data engineering to ensure Bank interests are captured in the Canada segment data initiatives and to ensure alignment across standards set by Global / Canada segment
- Champion Open Banking related data requirements and work with technology team to ensure our data design and architecture meets the need

**What we are looking for**
- Undergraduate degree in business, economics, or a quantitative discipline. financial services industry experience is an asset
- 3-5+ years progressive business experience in leading data governance and data management practices and tools
- Passion for how data can be leveraged and used to drive deeper, meaningful insights that enhance the customer experience, grow our businesses and minimize risk
- Experience bridging the business and technology worlds with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams to achieve desired outcomes
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to create integrated plans, influence outcomes and engage multiple stakeholders. Collaborator capable of building consensus in a matrix organization to secure resources and support required to achieve objectives
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and exercise judgment in a changing environment
